Throughout the project, we are working collaboratively with decision-makers, resource managers, communities, and other stakeholders engaged in managing wildfire risk. As part of this effort, we are providing experiential research-based education, outreach, and engagement experiences for minority and underrepresented undergraduate students through our SES Fellows Program.to broaden the diversity of future scholars engaged in research.
Over the course of the project, we are disseminating lessons and outcomes via tools and outlets for enhancing SESs’ adaptive capacity by collaboratively engaging students, educators, policymakers and resource managers, and through these forums help stakeholders to identify their adaptation-related needs and perspectives, to assess their adaptation strategies, and to translate research results into transferable lessons.
